Panda Score
What is the Panda Score? What is the Panda Score?
The Panda Score is the metric that FoodPanda uses to rank all restaurants and shops. FoodPanda does not give any preference and all restaurants are equal once they are on FoodPanda and accept orders. As all restaurants and shops are screened before they are accepted by FoodPanda. This means they meet the requirements to sell on FoodPanda.
Once a restaurant or shop is on FoodPanda the customer are the judge. Every customer can rate the food and drinks they order on FoodPanda. The rating system is based on 1 to 5 stars. Getting a 1 out of 5 star rating is the lowest rating and 5 out of 5 stars is the highest rating.
Panda Score a reliable metric
Why is the Panda Score a reliable metric? Why is the Panda Score a reliable metric?
We believe the Panda Score is a reliable way to evaluate the level of satisfaction of restaurant guests.
The Panda Score only takes into account the ratings of verified customers. This means customers who ordered your product and completed the order (meaning they did not cancelled and the driver did deliver) can give a review. This makes a review valid and trustworthy.
How Panda Score changes
Does the Panda Score change over time?Does the Panda Score change over time?
Due to its nature, the Panda Score is always changing. Therefore, in our lists of restaurants, we specify the moment (for example, the month and year) when the Panda Score is calculated. We plan to have regular releases of our most popular restaurant lists, in order to give our readers the latest update on the rankings.
No Panda Score for New Restaurants
What does it mean when a restaurant has no Panda Score? What does it mean when a restaurant has no Panda Score?
Typically, new restaurants have no Panda Score. As soon as they receive their first customer reviews, their average score will be displayed and we will calculate their Panda Score, too.
Panda Score calculated
How is the Panda Score calculated? How is the Panda Score calculated?
The Panda Score is calculated as follows: we multiply the current average rating (the rating you can see in each restaurant’s menu page) by the amount of times foodpanda customers have given a review.
So, in a nutshell: average rating value times amount of ratings.

Vendor Score
What Is Vendor Score? What Is Vendor Score?
Vendor Scoring is to reward well performing restaurants with rebates & commission reductions. All of foodpanda's restaurant partners will be segmented and placed into one of five tiers: Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze & Blue.

What Is Vendor Score?
Here's how the all the restaurants are tiered in the five tiers: Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze & Blue.
The Benefits?
A commission rebate is a deduction from the percentage of which the restaurant pays foodpanda for the services foodpanda offers. All commission rebates will be based off the most recent month. Commission rate for the restaurant will then resume at the agreed upon rate for the next month.
Restaurants are ranked based on performance in comparison to other brands on the foodpanda platform. The better the restaurant's performance based on the 6 key metrics, the higher the commission reductions.
Vendor Score Benefits per tier
The benefits specified.1: Diamond Tier
The top 5% of restaurants will be placed within this tier. These restaurants enjoy a total monthly rebate of 3% of their total commission paid to foodpanda.
2: Gold Tier

How Does Vendor Scoring Work?
Does each item you offer has a nice appealing picture? All restaurants on the foodpanda platform are compared against one another based on their performance of these 6 key metrics:
Metric 1 - Dish-Level Photos
Does each item you offer has a nice appealing picture? How is this calculated?
1. Having images on all your items, guarantees you a full score for this metric!
Tip* Items listed on foodpanda with dish-level images have 30% higher orders to items which do not, schedule a photoshoot now!
Metric 2 - Dish-Level Descriptions
Are your items have additional descriptions. How is this calculated?
1. Furnish enticing and mouth-watering descriptions for all the items you list on the foodpanda platform, this could be done by clicking HERE
2. Descriptions play a key role when influencing customer orders. People want to know what they're eating and telling them what's in your dish will relate to higher orders.
Metric 3 - Order Rejection Rate
How many orders are being rejected. How is this calculated?
1. Remember to set your restaurant as "Busy" on your Restaurant App (RAPP) if you are unavailable to receive orders for the time being.
2. Actively indicate if an item is out of stock or unavailable on RAPP to prevent future orders on an unavailable item.
3. Accept all orders as soon as you receive them on RAPP, leaving an order hanging for more than 10 minutes will drop the order.
Rejecting results in negative score
FoodPanda does not want a restaurant to reject an order. Or if an order has been forgotten it will be automatically cancelled.
Why this matters? FoodPanda has researched that if an order is delayed the customer experience is bad. If you reject an order 92% of customers will NOT order from you again. FoodPanda is serving customers and rejecting customer orders is considers a very bad customer service. This is why in the restaurant app you can indicate you are busy if you cannot accept and complete the order within 15 minutes.
Metric 4 - Dish Preparation Time
How fast do you complete your order. How is this calculated?
1. Always prepare the food items within 15 minutes of accepting the order.
2. In the case the restaurant isn't capable of preparing the order within 15 minutes, remember to toggle the "Busy" status on RAPP
Metric 5 - Deals Quality
How effective your promo deal is.How is this calculated?
1. Customers love deals and promotions and we all love customers, this metric measures the deals and scale of deals offered to your customers. Reach out to us HERE to start making more deals to enjoy more orders and higher commission rebates!

2. Premium placement increases the visibility on all your brands too, reserve a slot for premium placement today!
